There are moments during the process of creating something that may not look significant from the outside but seem huge inside.

That’s what happened this week.

While looking for something completely unrelated to checking Advoira's rankings, I saw our website in the search results.

Not by name.

Not with our brand mentioned anywhere.

But answering the question that a real business could ask.

That was not something I expected.

So I tried again.

And of course, as any other website builder does, I tested if I'm seeing our site just because of my browsing history or something.

I opened search on another phone.

Never visited Advoira.

The result was still there.

That was the moment that made me stop for a second.

It's early

I’m not saying that this is a huge SEO achievement.

Advoira is still early.

There are many topics we haven’t ranked for yet. There are many searches where our website doesn’t show up. And having one search result doesn't suddenly mean that our company is “made it" in the eyes of Google or Bing.

Search engines are complex, and the results depend on many factors. For example, Bing considers the following signals for ranking: relevance, quality, freshness, location, and user-specific information.

So, I don't want to make a story out of one search result.

But I also don't want to ignore it.

Because it is interesting to see a website that was created from scratch and begins to appear for questions related to the topic but not to the name.

The question is more important than the ranking

What got me excited about this search result wasn't seeing Advoira in the top 100 or top 50 or wherever it appeared.

What got me excited was the question behind the search.

When someone asks for help with hiring a CRM consultant in India, they are looking for answers.

And that is the exact kind of questions that Advoira should answer.

Because the idea of Advoira has never been to create just another consultants' directory.

It is about helping businesses take a step back before they make such an expensive decision as choosing a CRM or ERP solution.

Who do we really need?

What should we be looking for?

Is this consultant aware of our problems?

What questions should we ask him/her?

Sometimes, the first step shouldn't be choosing a software or a consultant.

Sometimes, the first step should be asking the right questions.

Building quietly

While building Advoira, I've noticed that progress is not necessarily loud and spectacular.

Sometimes, it is when a new consultant joins.

Sometimes, it is when a minor problem is fixed on the website.

Sometimes, it is when a page is rewritten because it didn't properly reflect the idea of Advoira.

Sometimes, it is when I realize that something I built works not the way it was supposed to work.

And sometimes, it is when I open the search result and see my work there.

All of these moments are not particularly impressive.

But all of them together tell me that something is moving.

That's what I'm watching right now.

Not the numbers, not the rankings, but the process of making what we're building discoverable, useful, and relevant for the people who need it.

One search result is not the goal

There is a lot of work to be done.

Many more pages need to be created.

Many more questions need to be answered.

More consultants need to join Advoira.

And more businesses need to find us.

And, what is the most important, the idea of Advoira needs to prove its value.

But for now, I'm taking this small win.

I was looking for the problem.

I found the solution I've been building.

For a second, Advoira became real for me.

That's enough for this week's journal.
